C.Y.I.A. - Christian Youth in Action

 

Christian Youth in Action, or CYIA, is a program that is targeted toward involving teenagers in evangelism. The youth are trained for evangelism at the CYIA training event in early June and then are given opportunities to present the gospel to boys and girls in the Omaha area throughout the summer. Last year we had a record 35 students attend the summer training camp and we are excited about what the Lord will do this year!

In order to be a summer missionary in the CYIA program you must:

1. At least 13 years of age
2. Growing relationship with Christ
3. A teachable attitude
4. Willing to make the required preparations for the summer
5. Allow Christ to live His life in your life through the power of the Holy Spirit

Summer 2011 is come and gone! CYIA East 2011 was an amazing success with 58 students, 14 staff, and the potential of reaching hundreds of clubs this summer.

 

Our summer 5-Day Clubs are over for 2011. We held 75 clubs, reaching around 1,200 children with the Good News that God loves them and has made a way for them to become His child through the Lord Jesus Christ. More than 50 of these children, after careful counseling, prayed to trust Christ as Savior.

 

 

We are looking forward to what God is going to do next Summer 2012!
