Do you know that most children no longer go to church? How will they hear about the God who made them and loves them and wants to have a relationship with them through His Son? Good News Clubs are the answer!
What Are GNCs?
GNCs are fun Bible clubs that meet weekly during the school year. Each club session features snacks and prizes, games, songs, prayer, Bible lessons and memory verse activities. The clubs last 75 to 90 minutes and are led by a team of trained teenage and adult workers who care about the spiritual needs of children. Most clubs are held in public school buildings right after the dismissal. But clubs can also be held in homes or at mobile home parks, churches and other locations.
Good News Clubs are great! Right now we have clubs in about 20 schools in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. But we need to establish a club in every school while the doors are still open. We’d also like to see more home-based clubs started. To do this, we need volunteers.
Good News Clubs are a great way for local churches to develop a community presence. Most churches are involved in their local elementary school in some way, but why not take it a step futher and have a Gospel focused club in the school as well!
CEF will partner with you to train a team of teachers, help you get permission into the school and assist you in getting the club started. We also will get the needed materials into your hands and support you in any way possible. For more information about our church adoption plan please contact us!
