Caleb is the son of John and Sandy Cherry. He was born in California into a military family. Around age 5 his dad was transferred back to Nebraska. He was homeschooled, along with his two sisters and a brother. Caleb grew up in a family of believers, and he thought he knew the Lord but had much confusion and doubt about forgiveness of sins.
“It was that first year at CYIA that I recommitted my life to Christ,” Caleb said. “I began taking my faith more seriously and learning how to communicate my faith. I had been incredibly shy, but through the years of CYIA and Good New Clubs, God challenged and stretched me so much. I am very grateful that CEF is following the call to believers to share the Gospel because that has forever changed my life.”
After 6 years of attending CYIA, Caleb felt led to go to CEF Headquarters in Warrenton, Mo. to go through their 15-month internship program. Now he is excited to see how he can serve God through his local CEF chapter and impact the lives of others for eternity.
